SOC 607 Survey of Violent Crime
The course will expose students to theoretical approaches to understanding the use of violence in crime and to a variety of forms of violent crimes including occult crimes, serial killers, gang violence and crimes, and domestic terrorism among others. Students will gain an understanding of the root causes of these crimes and of the various control approaches that have been tried including gun control.
