ART 612 Figure Drawing: Theology of the Body
This studio art course provides an introduction to figure drawing, with a focus on developing sensitivity to the structure, anatomy, and expressive qualities of the human form through in-class life studies, personalized projects, and critiques. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the figure as a vital part of visual language, with historical and contemporary references providing context. Through individualized instruction, students of all levels will develop and refine their drawing skills, informed by both the study of anatomy and the Theology of the Body of St. John Paul II.
