MATH 309 Probability and Statistics for Engineers
Course intended for engineering students and students working towards obtaining a minor in mathematics. Introduction to probability, random variables and probability distributions, mathematical expectations, discrete and continuous probability distributions, sampling distributions, point and interval estimation, hypothesis testing. Time permitting - simple linear regression and correlation will also be covered. If students do not meet requisite requirements, permission of the department is required.
